After meeting up to help each other write comedy, we decided to create a fun, friendly night that gives anyone new to stand-up comedy the chance to do a gig alongside established comedians. Our aim from the start was to create a quality, supportive, enjoyable atmosphere but more importantly, make sure the audience has a great time.

To our delight, the first monthly gig on the 28th March 2019 sold out and Comedy Chest has continued selling out on the last Thursday of each month. The record time for selling all our tickets is less than five and a half hours, making it one of the hottest gigs in town.

One year on, we decided to celebrate a successful first year by putting on a one-day mini-festival, #ComedyChestFest, which almost sold out before the pandemic hit and we had to cancel it.
