Chris McCausland is a stand up comedian and actor. He was also the first blind professional comedian in the world, and after performing stand-up since 2003, is firmly established at the very top of the UK’s live comedy circuit, performing at all of the country’s major clubs including the world famous Comedy Store in the heart of London’s West-End.

Chris has written and fronted a national TV ad campaign for Barclays Bank, which promoted their audio cash machines.

Between 2005 and 2012 Chris took six different stand-up shows to the Edinburgh Festival and in 2011 was awarded the Creative Diversity Award for Comedy by a Channel 4 led panel of broadcasters that included BBC, ITV and Sky. He returned to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018 after a 6 year absence with his brand new show 'Speaky Blinder' at the Underbelly. The show toured in 2019.

Radio Credits include: regular on R4's InTouch, The Comedy Club, NewsQuiz (writing), Loose Ends and Live on the Boat, Guest presenter on Russell Kane's The Saturday Show on Virgin, Hawksby and Jacobs Talksport, and Gethin Jones Five Live.

Chris is regularly asked by News channels including, BBC, ITV, Channel 5 and Sky to give his comedic slant and opinion on events happening around the world, from the serious to the ridiculous!

2020 sees Chris make his debut on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’ as well as other broadcast shows. He will be taking his new stand up show on tour; venues and dates will be released early in the new year.
